Hi all. I've been looking at the 2013 Trek Fuel EX9.8 that comes with a RS Reverb dropper seatpost. I have no use for the dropper post, so I was thinking I'd sell it and replace it with a conventional post. However, my question is: Is the cable routing to the Reverb done inside the frame? The frame does support it but I'm not sure if the cable is still routed outside the frame like on the EX9 (whose frame also supports the internal routing).
Here's a picture of the bike: http://s7d4.scene7.com/is/image/Trek...0,0&iccEmbed=0
For comparison's sake, here's a pic of the EX9 that certainly has external cable routing for the post.
My other question is: If the cable is routed on the inside of the frame on the EX9.8, is the Reverb only compatible with frames that support internal routing? I.e. do I need to find a buyer who has a frame designed for the internal routing?
