Hi everyone,
Looking at upgrading my rusty old bike, found two pretty decent deals here in the UK, still twice what you pay over there, but enough about that.
At the moment, the two bikes I'm looking at are the american bred GF Tassajara, and the homegrown Dawes Edge Comp (both 2004). Both seem excellent and it all boiling down to the forks - GF has the RockShox Pilot XC and the Dawes has the Marzocchi EXR Supra.
The bike will mostly be used for commuting on gravel paths and roads, but I will be taking it out to the mountains at the weekends, so I'd like a fork that's efficient on the roads but will survive a bit of abuse at the weekends. Any suggestions?
The other issue is that the tassajara is an internet offer and I can't find it to test ride in any local stores.. I'm 6'2" - will a 19" tassajara fit me? (21" out of stock!) the top tube seems pretty long.
