    Specialized Pitch frame Sizing

    Hi,

What are everyones experience with specilaized pitch frame sizing?

    I am 5ft10.5, 31" inseam.

My riding style is just play riding basically, with atleast one 3hr+ trail ride a week. The playing is light DH/drop/jump/hooning singletrack, by trail riding is peak district in england, short, rocky ups and downs. so the bike has to feel good playing, but capable of some big rides.

My current bike is NS surge 2, 23.5" eff tt. I like how it rides, stable enough on the downs, too long in the saddle, out of the saddle it's ideal.

I would recommend me a medium but something in my head says that small might work better for me.

The eff tt on a small pitch is 22.25", so in the saddle, it would be a lot shorter than my current frame. The small pitch has a longer wheelbase and is longer horizontally bb to bars than my NS, so would actually be more stable ad roomy than the NS out of the saddle.

I am worried a medium will ride like a barge.

Who's my height and gone small and it has come good?

Go with the medium because a 23.5 to a 22.25 tt is a pretty big difference. You can always put a shorter stem if you feel like you're a little too stretched out.

I am 6'1" and I ride L. My wife is 5'7" and she rides M. I tired M and it felt small. Pitch has a very big wheelbase. Is there any way for you to demo Pitch?

i'm 5'8". i'm between sizes, and had a medium pitch for 7 months.
i feld good for XC, but my riding style is more technical.
i've traded my M with S, and now everything's feels 'right'.

the conclusion is: if you're riding style is more XC - go with M.
i'm you're enjoying more technical stuff - go with the S.
since i'm riding the small frame - i couldn't be more happy.

I'm 5'!! and ride a medium pitch in rocky/steep Eastern US trails. The medium is perfect for me...
