Soma Double Cross Disc with LHT 700c disc fork?

Looking at upgrading my commuter/gravel-grinder to a Soma Double Cross Disc, but not really a fan of the unicrown fork. It looks like the new Surly LHT 700c disc fork would work. Are there any compelling reasons not to do this? Geometry? I'm sure the 4130 steel is less preferable than Prestige, but will it make a big difference? (for the sake of this discussion carbon options are out, mostly due to cost).

I would ask soma and surly. Also take a look at IRD forks. They may have something you like.

The only real difference in the steels may be quality. I think tange is supposed to be high quality while I have no idea what quality surly cromoly is.

It probably would not make a difference in the real world.
