    Schwinn Moab Disc

I have been looking at purchasing a 2000 Schwinn Moab disc for around $225. Is this a good deal? It seems to have the stock components that were on it originally and seems to be in great condition. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Good bike but there are a couple concerns:
    1) The frame uses a 22mm rear disc mount which is now obsolete. The stock Hayes brakes are good and there are parts available for them but your pretty much stuck with them.

    2) Headset is an ICBM Integrated, which is also obsolete...Aheadset still makes replacement headsets but for how long (ICBM went away after the 2001 Schwinn/GT bankruptcy).

Otherwise the bike was a $1200 bike new so its a good deal. The dérailleur hangers are still available through Wheels Mfg and while parts are rare for the Rock Shox Judy Race fork, its easily serviceable and seals can still be had.

Thanks for the reply Mtnbiker72. Do you know if these bikes were made in the USA?

No, only the Homegrown models were US made...Moab models were Taiwan
