New question here. Raleigh M50 Question(s)

I just purchased a 2003 Raleigh M50 at a yard sale. I am a Noob to Mountain Biking & The questions that I have are; 1. What is it's intended style of riding? 2. What are a good replacement for the busted stock forks?

Thanks in advance for all input!

    Welcome to the forums Billy

The bike you purchased is good for typical cross country riding. That means twisty trails through the woods with minimal technical obstacles. It would be ideal for fire roads, as well as a quick spin in the park. As for a new fork, I'd look at another Suntour XC series fork, something from RST, or perhaps a Rock Shox Judy. Keep the travel below 85 mm and you should be fine. Scour ebay for something inexpensive.

Let us know how you make out.
