Question before I buy 2009 Specialized Rockhopper Comp....Please help!!

It has 20 miles on it and it is in flawless shape. Is $500 a good deal? I am going to buy it immediately if it is. I know list price on it was about $750, but I know you can get discounts too.

    Go get your money.

A 2009 in a shop, if you could find one, might be discounted as old stock to $599 or so but with a service contract.

The history of the bike is in question. See if they have the original receipt. Check it very closely, not just for function but cracks. If you are not satsfied that it is legit be prepared, in advance, to walk away. If it feels right offer $400 and work from there.

It is a dealer on eBay. They have a 100% feedback with over 90 transactions. Now you have me scared, lol.

Just remember the frame warranty does not apply to the second and subsequent owners. You could probably get a brand new one for $600. I'd say pass. Get a little older bike with better components for $500.
