Need Help! 05 Cake 3 or 05 FSR XC Pro Disc?
Need help fast with this decision. Already purchased Cake3 but I have the option to return if I don't like it. Need to verify I made the right decision.
6'4" 207lbs and I love XC and Trails with a little Freeride
Feels fast and stable, turnable Manitou Swinger, light-weigh Skareb Elite, Genesis geometry, Hayes hydraulic disc, Jones ACX tires
Single pivot rear, non-symetrical rear linkage, HIGH standover, no chainsuck yet (crossing fingers), more expensive than FSR XC pro disc
FSR XC Pro Disc
Bueatiful frame design, symetrical rear linkage, 4link rear, Fox Triad, lower standover, cheaper than Cake3, much better looking than Cake
Heavy Manitou Splice, Specialized adrenaline tires, I rode a Large and it didn't feel fast,
Both have very similar components and offer 100mm travel front and rear.
I think you answered your own question. Stick with what feels best to you.

I had a 04 Cake 3 DLX that I returned. Standover, high BB and Genesis geometry just didn't feel right to me. If that doesn't bother you, you'd probably be happiest with the Cake.
One more thing to mention is that I havn't been impressed with Hayes discs. They seem to be high-maintenence.
