Kinley RX Disc vs. Motobecane Phantom Comp

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of these bikes.

    http://www.kinleybikes.com/kinelyrx06.asp

    http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...tom_comp05.htm

I am looking to spend $600 on a bike and would be open to suggestions on others. Thanks in advance.

Fantom comp looks good, go with it.

Other comparable would be the IH Warrior 3.5 if Performancebike has your size in stock.

While not exactly the model you are considering, here is a link to one of very few Kinley reviews I know of:

    Seem like nice bikes.
Ever been to Mountain Bike Tales Digital Magazine? Now if only the print rags would catch on!

I had the Kinley RX Disc as my first real mountain bike. Bought it last summer. It was very good in getting me into the sport. I didnt like the Hayes sole hydro brakes though. I upgraded them to Avid Juicy 5's. Also eventually changed the heavy Judy J2 to a Rockshox Reba Race I bought on closeout. My frame is made in Taiwan. The drivetrain, after adjusting it a bit, was very smooth.

Although Kinley is a very small company, everytime I called I got the same person, who was the owner of the company. He was also very fast at responding my emails.
