    KHS Alite 2000 v's Scott Aspect 20

Thinking of getting back into the mountain biking afte ra ten year absence. Have found both of the above named bikes on sale as 2008 models. I have ridden the Scott, loved it. The KHS I will ride on Monday. Assuming the KHS is also a nice ride / correct size, does anyone have any strong opinions on these bikes? I know nothing about suspension forks or disc brakes or for that matter wheel sets. Adive on thoose things would be appreciated especially. Will be commuting to work along single track trails mostly. No jumps or crazy stuff.

    Thanks in advance.

Here is are some links to specs on the bikes...

    and the KHS http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...3436&Type=bike

thanks again - any advice appreciated.

no price on the KHS, but spec wise, i'ld definitely go with it, and no, i'm not biased as i have a very upgraded XC104. KHS makes a decent bike and a lotta racers have won with them

The KHS can be had for $800 and the scott for $850. not really anything in it. I was just wondering if one fork / brake set / wheel set was clearly better than the other or something like that. Something that I should be paying attention to before I buy.....?

The KHS has the "higher end" components.
