Hi, I've been doing some research on the forums here and I want to switch from my 2004 gary fisher marlin that has seen a bunch of upgrades (except for frame and fork). I ride 3-4 hour "fun rides" in Missouri, and do some not-too-serious races once in a while. I love to take small ramps as much as possible but it sucks with a hardtail.
I was wondering if this is a good idea: use the 15% coupon on competitive cyclist to buy a
2010 BMC Speed Fox SF02 frame and a 2011 Fox 32 F120 RL Fork for about $1000.
Is this a good deal, if not what would you recommend for me? Would a cheap FS 29er work better for me (I'm 5' 7")?
Thanks for any help!
