    Giants Composite Technology...

How tough is it? I own their 2013 XTC 29er 3. They advertise it being "raw carbon fiber" but isn't composite mixed with plastic? I know XC bikes aren't meant for big jumps... which I never do on trails. But how high of a jump is to high? Will a bunny hop on the bike weaken the frame? Or jumping off a curb weaken the frame? lol

It's not how high of a jump, it's how hard it lands that determine how tough it is. How soft can you land?

All carbon frames have a "cycle life" ie how many times you can stress the frame before it gets too flexy or breaks. This is a very long time however, and its takes years to degrade stiffness. However, dont go hucking an XC bike. If you want to freeride, get a freeride bike. If you ride like a normal xc rider, 99% of carbon hardtails will be just fine for you.

    Dont stress about it
