It looks like 2007 frame. It was more than likely a buildup or some parts have been changed. No manufacturer would put an XT crank and a Dart fork on the same bike. You really got a steal though for $300 hope it wasnt stolen. The Giant "Team" bike was one that was marketed in Asia and Australia and not in the US. Its probably the same frame as the XTC-1 and 2 over here but with higher components.

I had the same thoughts on "Stolen" as AZ. Mtns....

Was it bought on e-bay from Taiwan? I've seen these on there before. It is a legit Giant frame that I think was leftover from a few years ago and they build them up funny and unload them over here.

Im stationed in GUAM which may makes the taiwan idea reasonable, and the stolen bit would be really unlikely, i bought it from another military troop, family man

Anyone have a idea on how much this would be worth? just say it was ur bike, and you wanted to sell it... just a thought, thanks!

Oh yeah, does the frame being embossed give it any significant rare-ness ?

Its probably worth about $500 -$550. The XT crankset is what pushes the value up a bit. Its really just another aluminum frame. The frames sell new for $300 on Ebay. I say $500 on the price because it depends on where you would try to sell it in the US. i remember selling a bike that was a lot nicer than that for less than $800 a couple of years ago.

    Korean XTC Team frame: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/ko-KR/...ts/1055/29632/
    Chinese XTC Team frame: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/zh-HT/...rel/815/29310/
    2002 XTC SE2 with a 'Team Frame' : http://archive.giant-bicycles.com/cn...002&model=9595

Notice the similarities between the old 2002 XTC SE-2 with a 'Team frame' & the current Korean/Chinese XTC Team frames.
Gusseting around the head tube, brake bosses, etc.
*2002 XTC's had 'Aluxx SL' tubing with welded on gusseting around the headtube.
*XTC's from 2003 and onwards in most countries had the 'Aluxx SL Fluidformed' tubing with an integrated gusseting around the headtube.
