New question here. Boulder SE vs Giant Rincon

Hey everyone, im looking into getting my first bike. i know practically nothing about the components and what makes them better than another.
i have looked at the Boulder SE($290) and the Rincon ($350)
i want something that will last, which i think both will.
Rincon has double walled rims vs the single of the boulder
as far as shifters and derailleur's and the shifters, im lost.

i'd rather spend a less now, get into the sport, gain knowledge of what makes what better and so on, and then upgrade when/if i have to.

Any opinions on what i should do are greatly appreciated.

Get the Rincon , IT's a much better bike for a little amount of money.
The double walled rims , progressive 8 speed cassette vs. 7 speed MEGA range , are much better. You get a better Read Derailleur also.
The shifters , front derailleur , brakes and other bits are nearly the same.
The double walled rims are lighter and much stronger than what is on the Boulder SE, and you will appreciate the 8 speeds on the back the more you ride.
