    frame ding solution?

has anyone tried the hairdryer and air duster technique on small dings in aluminum frames? same technique ppl (including me) use to dings on your car.. it seems like the hot/cold mixture would work

heh, i wouldn't try it on aluminum unless it's a last resort. aluminum is way different than steel in that steel can take flexing fairly well

zoke - so it has worked for you? it's a small ding so i'm hoping it'll work, and it's pretty much a last since i haven't really heard of any other way around it

it works better on small round dings than something with a sharp edge ding ... use one solid piece of dry ice rather than the shaved/chipped stuff ... It will really depend on the grade of AL it is used on ... I have used it on 7005 and it worked ... I dont know if it works on 6061 or 2014 AL .. just try it ... if it works ... good ... if it doesnt it didnt cost much
