Im looking to rebuild a 2004 Giant Boulder se. Yes I know its not the best bike but its not my main bike. I want this one to be available when family comes to visit or a backup bike.
I got it at a great deal $20.
I have already repacked the bearings, cleaned out the gears, etc. Still working on getting new cables and derailers. Have some spare Sram X7's I could probably put in. Anyhow, Im at a lost as to what to do with the fork.
The one that is in there just has very little travel. Obviously I don't wish to put a $800 for in there, but what options is there for this bike that wont brake the bank.
Am I asking to much to find a cheap 100mm fork? Cheap meaning $40 tops.
Thanks for any input you might be able to offer.
