Looking at building a new bike, I have short listed a few frames.
I intend to use the bike for trail riding, I'm a fair bit heavier than when I rode on a regular basis, so looking for something with no flex etc.
The FXR I've priced up comes with the Curnutt Air shock, I've read mixed reviews on this set up, people either love or hate the Curnutt shock. I can buy the Foes with A fox shock, but not too sure how this will work out. The FXR I've been offered is a 2009 model as against the updated 2010 version.
The Cove G-Spot seems like a good deal although a bit heavier than the Foes and not too many reviews out there.
I'm not sure about a carbon frame in terms of longevity etc, although the Mojo HD seems to get rave reviews. All the frames I've short listed aren't readily available to test ride here in the UK.
Does a tapered head tube add a significant amount of rigidity to the front end or is 1 1/8th fine.
