Not sure I've posted this in the right place so please let me know if not. Anyway, I have a 2011 camber comp and I'm getting a lot of clicking and creaking from the headset/stem area. There is no play/nothing obviously loose. I'm almost certain it is originating from the headset area, which I've always understood to be the bearing set that allows the for to swivel in the top-tube. Perhaps it just needs to be tightened up, although that's just a guess. Any suggestions?
Take off your stem and have a look at the steerer tube in case you've scored it from the HS being loose. You'll need to pull the fork out of the frame to do this. If it looks OK reassemble everything and tighten up the HS and see if the creaking goes away. The top cap tensioning bolt needs to be pretty snug. You should almost feel a bit of resistance when turning the bars left and right with the wheel off the ground.
