Choosing a bike to race with
Okay, so i have been researching some good bikes to race with in the next season, and i would appreciate some input.
The bikes i have consired:
Scott Scale:920 or 910
I have heard good things about them and i think it would be good choice.
Got some ok deals on them.
Trek Superfly Elite 2012
Dont really know much about this bike but i got a pretty good deal on it.
Rocky mountain Vertex 990 rsl
Got a good deal on this one too, but it would still be pretty pricey.
It would probably very good tho.
Scott Scale 710
I really liked this one but i've found much better deals on the 910, and dont know if the wheelsize is really worth the money.
Dont know much about this one either, would like to know more.
I also would like if you had some other bikes that aren't on the list to recommend for me.
The maximium price would be 4000 dollars, and i prefer carbon hardtails with racing in mind.
Scott Scale is awesome. I have an aluminum version and I chose it because it had the best feel/geometry/cockpit out of many bikes I have been on. I do also like the Carbon Stumpjumper HT as well. Wheelsize is down to preference....and only your own experience can determine that.
Here are some words on the Scale 710:
Scott Scale 710 – First Ride Review - BikeRadar
I loved my 07 Scale 10. I would assume the new ones are just as nice, and lighter.
The orbea Alma is a sick bike, I would love to get to try one out. IMO, Your wheel and tire choice can make or break a frame though. Personally I would go a little cheaper and spring for a nice wheelset.
