Im lookin for a new bike, ive checked out my LBSs, and out of the ones they have there, ive seen a few i liked. Now i just want a few more opinions on the components. I want it for general xc, but i dont want to go super light or anything that will limit me from doing 2-3ft drops.

To me it appears the bikes are similar, with the specialized having slightly better parts, for a lot more money. I dont know a lot about the parts, im wondering if they are that much better to demand the extra price, or if theres a premium because it has the specialized name. (spec posted below)
Also in the price range is the norco charger , which may be good too.

Thanks for any thoughts and opinions.

yeah the specialized has better of almost all the components and looks to be the bargain just for bang for the buck probobly lighter 2 the specialized has clipless pedals for one and is 9 speed i mean its kinda a no brainer. how nice are the frames? but just comparing parts the specialized is better and the price is justified.
