Which bike would be better for me?

    Hi guys,
I love to go riding but I'm not much of a snob when it comes to having all the latest gear and components. I like just throwing the bike in the back of the truck, putting in some earbuds and hitting the trail.

I look at Mtn biking as an exciting way to exercise so I do a lot of climbing and trail riding with the occasional 2-3ft drop. Currently I have an older Rocky Mountain Instinct (2002) which has been a great ride but I want to get something a bit newer with upgraded shocks and disc brakes. I have three bikes in mind, all are in great condition. Can you guys help me decide which would be better?

    #1 is a 2006 Norco Aline $700
    #2 is a 2005 Giant Reign 2 $600
    #3 is a 2005 Intense 5.5 EVP for $800

These are medium frames and I'm 5'9, 180lbs.

    Thanks for all the help!

Sounds like you have a tight budget. If you can, try and check them out in person. Test ride em and see how they feel. My only hesitation is that those are long travel bikes and could have been out thru the ringer pretty good as they are quite older bikes. Maybe look for a something a bit newer and see if you can swing the price.
