The Trek 6000 is the better choice, better components for sure.Ibex makes decent bikes, but if you want an FS you'll want to spend more for one of their better models.

With a limited budget if you are going full suspension you might want to consider something used. If you are looking at a hardtail REI has had some pretty good deals on either their Bonanza or Ponderosa and Performance Bikes has had the Mongoose Amasa Comp priced around $500.

You are still essentially choosing between a hardtail and a full suspension bike. The other thing you are looking at a bike store bike versus a mail order bike so the comparison there isnt really great either. When you live in a really populated area why not check out your local Performance Bike store or maybe REI during one of their sales, or buy used from Craigslist? These mid range mail order bikes are great for guys who live out in the sticks who cant look at craigslist or have much in the way of local bike shops.

Heres an example of a four year old Trek 8000 thats only $600 which will give you a lot more bike for the money than the ones you are looking at.
