    ABP and Split Pivot

Just out of curiosity, are Trek's ABP and DW's Split Pivot as similar as they seem to be? (To me anyway.) They both seem like modified single pivots, with the main pivot super close to the BB, and with a split(?) pivot at the rear wheel to separate the braking forces from pedaling forces...hell, they seem dang near identical to me. Am I missing something?

    Thanks for sating my curiosity.

Sorry Nenbran, I don't have a definitive answer for you. In fact, yours was the only thread that came up when I searched on "split pivot." I was wondering the same thing! Can't believe there are no responses....maybe now that some time has passed someone will chime in. The only manufacturer I know of using split pivot is DeVinci. I am wondering if Pivot has any plans to implement Dave Weagle's latest suspension design....

After a year, I can say that yes, they are essentially the same design. I answered my own question haha.

Dunno why Pivot would need to. DW-Link is still supposedly nicer than the split pivot desigh.
