Not sure what kind of frame (brand) it is, but for $75.00, it can't be that good of one. Sorry. A large frame in any bike size will differ depending on the manufacturer. Some larges have a 19" seat tube while others are 19.5-20".

That is the exact one I am looking at buying. I want to make it 1 X 10 I think it would be a real sweet set up. Just worried about the frame size. I ride Large frame bikes generally and this one says its a 21" and know for example some giant bikes the large frame is 21" but with some Fishers and Treks the Large is 19 or 19.5 so I don't know.

The 21.5" is an XL and 19.5" would be a Large ... is there anyway you can have them measure from the center of the BB to the TT

I will ask but it isn't far from me so I am planing on going by and looking at it tomorrow. Here is a picture of it. I was wondering if these were sized different like some bikes are because of the different Geometry of the frame to accommodate the 29/26 wheels. I am probably just wishing for fools gold

I think Trek sized their 69ers like their other bikes (ie, pretty long top tubes), but just raised the front end to accommodate the longer 29er fork.

$75 is a great price on kind of an oddball frame. If it were me, I would get it (then again, I have a pretty low bar for going after deals)

$75 is a good price for a new old stock Trek frame.

The front end was designed for a 29er wheel and most likely a 80mm fork. A 26 inch wheel and a 120mm fork should give you about the same "length" as the 29er wheel/80mm fork.

Or do you plan on 69ering it?

Definitely plan on making her a true 69er with a 80mm fork with a lockout and a 1x10 drive train to power it.
