Hi. I am riding a specialized stumpy comp. 2010 frame, I upgraded to a full xt set up with stans arch wheels at the beginning of the year. I am looking at an epic comp, possibly fitting all the xt parts and possibly the stans wheels onto the epic comp. The parts stripped from the epic will go onto my stumpy comp. This will leave me with a full xt epic and sram mix with magura brakes on the comp. Spoke to my LBS yesterday and they said it was possible. I am also looking at an anthem advanced 1, full xt or a trek superfly 100 al, also full xt. All three options will have me in for about 3600-4k AU$. Any ideas guys. I race mainly marathon, some x country and multisport events, x terra etc. Advice welcomed!
Hi Scott
Was thinking along those lines. Just need to get out of the specialized or nothing mind set. Any thoughts on the giant anthem advanced 1 with full xt parts or the superfly trek al 100 with xt as well! cheers!
Why not just buy a new bike with XT group already installed on your new bike instead of the labor and cost switching a new group to the old bike, and then used XT to the new bike?
