2011 Jamis Dakar XC comp of 2011 Rocky Mountain Element Sport ?

I can get a deal on both of these bikes.
Looking for a full sus 100 to 120 mm for singletrack/cross country riding for my girlfriend: no jumps/drops
I'm mainly interested in the differences between the frames (have parts lying around to upgrade): rear suspension effectiveness, overall frame quality, frame stiffness, ...

    The Quebeco-Flandrien in B.C....

Both of them have dated Geo and very simple suspension designs. That being said, they both work great. The Jamis seems to be a little bit heavier and definitely feels stiff. I think the frame quality for both is pretty high.

I would let the GF get on both of them and ride them both. Personally I like the RM over the Jamis.
