    11/32 9 speed Cassette

Stupid Question: I am replacing worn drive train components. Can I purchase any 9 speed 11/32 cassette or do I need to stick with sram. I have an sram x7 dérailleur.

In the future, this type of question should go in the "Drivetrain" board.

Assuming what you already have is a 9 speed cassette, then yes, you can use any SRAM or Shimano 9 speed cassette.Their 9 speed cassettes are interchangeable. You can even go 11-34 if you wish. You can use either brand of chain and chainrings as well. Mixing brands with these components is fine.
15mm is a second-best solution to a problem that was already solved.
