1. The most important thing about buying a new bike is to make sure it fits. The only way you'll know if the bike is right for you is to size up the bike and make sure that the bike's geometry matches your body's geometry. Ask questions and do some research.

2. If possible, try to find a shop that will let you demo the bike on real dirt. Five minutes in a parking lot won't cut it. You wouldn't buy a car without a real world test drive, and a bike should be no different.
3. Don't belive the hype. Just because your favorite rider or best friend rides a certain bike, that doesn't mean that's the best one for you. Have an open mind and be realistic about your needs and ability.

Rockshox Dart 2 forks Better than Sunfork XCT forks?

Are RockShox Dart 2 forks better than Sunfork XCT forks?

How about this, are Sunfork XCR forks better than RockShox Dart 2 forks?

I was thinking of buying a Windsor Cliff 4900 for $450.00

It has a RockShox Dart 2 fork and Front/Rear Deore drivetrains.

I saw some cheaper Motobecane bikes for $399 and $379 with Sunfork XCR and XCT forks.

The hierarchy from low to high would be XCT, XCM, XCR. V2, V3 for Sunfork.

I do believe the Dart 2 is no longer in production and has been replaced with the Rock Shox XC 28 as with the TORA. The Rock Shox XC is pretty much the same thing as the DART with different stickers. Their both really not that great, No adjustment and too much flex. I would save up just another $200 and get into air fork territory.

This is my first bike, I will ride once a week on concrete bike trails and also forest trails.
I live in texas so there is no mountains. I do want to go to insane jungle mountain bike forest trails every week though but I dont have time.

I also cant spend much money on a bike because i need a new car with AC, thanks!
