    Ready to rip

On a whim I decided to find a new obsession that will keep me busy during the off season of snowboarding. What I came up with was getting into mountain biking. I used to ride BMX when I was younger and have messed around on MTBs here and there. I figured I would start simple and get a good all arounder, so today I picked up a 2016 Santa Cruz Chameleon R in amazing condition for $900. The person I got it from said they only rode it three times and judging by the wear marks I say they were telling the truth. I live in the Seattle area. If anyone has any recommendations on places to ride and a good LBS to help keep my wallet empty I'd love to hear about it.

For the dope on riding in Western Washington check out Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Washington subforum.

Welcome! I live in the Tacoma area. That's an awesome deal on a chameleon. I definitely want to pick one up as a 2nd bike. You might want to check out Center Cycle in the Renton area. My bro-in-law loves that place and it seems to be popular for deals.

I'm too lazy to drive that far north for a bike shop so I stick with Old Town Bicycle or Bike Tech.
