OK are these legit, if so may be good setups for fellow begginers...

Check out the bikes on the following website, (they were advertising off to the side of the home page):

They seem like they could an even better deal than some of the Bike Direct bikes, but as I am too new to judge such things what do you more knowlegable people think? Are these worth a recommendation? The FS looks like it could even be a better buy than the new low cost Stance models...Heck even comes with some Wellego alloy pedals....

I had an ibex Asta back when it came out. Bought it in like new off eBay for $500 ish. It was a good deal at that price and made a nice beginner bike.

I thought the Geo looked a bit more modern than most of the BD offerings at that price range... and maybe not much different but options never hurt..

Oh, the history that brand has on these forums. Not sure if it's under new ownership or not.

New business/owner that started in 2010, it has nothing to do with the old business/owner that finished in 2009, just using the same name, web address, etc.

The Ibex forum has been taken off the manufacturers forum list but it still exists: Ibex - Mtbr.com, there's plenty of posts/threads on the forum about the fall of the old and rise of the new.
