Need spacer adaptor for Shimano Hydraulic disk brakes

I am replacing my Avid BB5 brakes with Shimano Deore Hydraulic brakes. I have 180mm rotors and I have a Rock Shox Reba shock with post mounts (see pic, sorry it is dark). Right now I have about a 20mm space between the caliper and the rotor. What type of adaptor/spacer do I need for this. Also, I have the same problem on the back caliper (about 20 mm gap).

    Thanks,
    Tim

I would imagine you would get a better response in the 'Brake Time' section of the forum, but anyway:

The frame & fork mounts are commonly* designed to take a 160mm rotor front / 140mm rear, so anything other than this needs the appropriate adaptor.

I think you need a +20mm post mount adaptor at the front:

There may be one on your old caliper if you haven't changed rotor size, but IIRC the BB5s might be packed out with a stack of washers.

The same type should also work on the rear if is also post mount, otherwise you would likely need a +20mm IS adaptor:

These are widely available once you know what you need

*-Check the specifics for your bike, but from what you describe, this would be the case.

Are you changing the size of the rotors? If not, the adapters on your Avid brakes should work for the Shimano.

If you reuse the Avid adapters, do not put the cup (CPS) washers between the Shimano brake and the adapter.
