Need Help- weird problems with front tire

Hi guys, I really need some help.

I purchased a Diamondback OVerdrive Sport 29er around six months ago. The bike was awesome, but I only got to enjoy it for two months due to winter.

Last week, I noticed my front tire was nearly flat, which is normal (the back tire was a little low). I filled it up and the next day, it was considerably lower. I figured I had a leak, so I tried the water/air bubble test to find leaks...didn't notice any. I replaced the inner tube (cheapo bell brand), pumped it to the MAX and took it for a spin. The tire felt like it lost 25% of its air. The front tire felt odd, and turning it was a bit uncomfortable, like it was slipping or something, probably because the low psi. I cannot figure out what is going on. I had my rim tape replaced after buying it, the spokes are tight, and the tire looks good.

tldr; stock and new inner tube lose air fast, can't figure out what's up.

How much did air did you put in the tube, if there's a very small hole you might need more air in the tube to find the leak.

Any chance you pinched the tube installing it ?It's not that hard to do. Pull the tube out ,pump it up ,put it in a bucket of water ,move the vavle stem to make sure that it isn't torn.

Or you could have something sharp remaining in the tire, and it punctured the new tube too. Thorn or sharp rock embedded in the tire?
Very small holes, and loose valves can cause slow leaks.

Yeah, this is worth looking into. Carefully inspect the inside of the tire and the rim too.

Thanks for the help everyone. I Examined my tire closely and felt a small prick inside the tire. Turns out I had a small thorn that is likely the culprit!
