1. The most important thing about buying a new bike is to make sure it fits. The only way you'll know if the bike is right for you is to size up the bike and make sure that the bike's geometry matches your body's geometry. Ask questions and do some research.

2. If possible, try to find a shop that will let you demo the bike on real dirt. Five minutes in a parking lot won't cut it. You wouldn't buy a car without a real world test drive, and a bike should be no different.
3. Don't belive the hype. Just because your favorite rider or best friend rides a certain bike, that doesn't mean that's the best one for you. Have an open mind and be realistic about your needs and ability.

Profile photos: The maximum size of your custom image is 800 by 800 pixels or 195.3 KB (whichever is smaller).

Avatars: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 7.8 KB (whichever is smaller).

I prefer to upload to imgur: the simple image sharer and just copy and paste the BB code here. You may have a limit on posting links since you are so new.

You don't need to even log in to upload pictures I don't think.

You can upload to the MTBR gallery, use a photo host or even facebook. Just get the url for the photo and use the IMG tags before and after the photo url when you post.

Should look like this without the quotes: "[img]insertphotourlhere[/img]"

Example, posting from one of my facebook albums, right click on the photo and select copy image location, then go to your post and follow the IMG posting example. In this case the url for the pic is "https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/l/t1.0-9/10355716_10152401490300502_2813393698802451528_n.j pg" (without quotes) and will enclose it with the IMG tags to be able to see the pic in the post.

Once you get it is pretty simple and works with all photo hosts out there in the inter webs.

You don't need to host your pictures in order to post them, but I do believe you need to have at least 10 posts to post pictures. Might want to check into the forum posting rules; I'm far to lazy to do so myself right now.

I never recommend Facebook for any type of media hosting. Imgur, Photobucket, and even Tinypic work pretty well. I also never recommend hosting them on a forum, always an external site.
