    Most important piece of bicycle

This is gonna be an extremely subjective opinionated thread but my question is -

"What is the most important part of a mountain bike"

    Crank? Suspension? Derailleurs? Seat?

So many choices, having a hard time deciding between the head set spacers, the chain ring bolts, but I think I gotta go with the spoke nipples (am I allowed to say nipple here?)

I think the better question would have been like; if you had an unlimited budget for x part, what would you get?

On a more serious note. I would have to say frame and wheelset make the bike. The greatest components on a lousy frame are going to make a lousy bike. A 15 pound bike is still going to be a beast to ride if the wheelset is 4 pounds of the total weight.

    Everything else is just bonus.

I think it would be the wheels assuming the frame was excluded from the parts list.

The most important part must be the money you paid for it, without which you would be hiking.
One part is no good without all the others.
