1. The most important thing about buying a new bike is to make sure it fits. The only way you'll know if the bike is right for you is to size up the bike and make sure that the bike's geometry matches your body's geometry. Ask questions and do some research.

2. If possible, try to find a shop that will let you demo the bike on real dirt. Five minutes in a parking lot won't cut it. You wouldn't buy a car without a real world test drive, and a bike should be no different.
3. Don't belive the hype. Just because your favorite rider or best friend rides a certain bike, that doesn't mean that's the best one for you. Have an open mind and be realistic about your needs and ability.

You should really enjoy it,I have been riding a Canaan Team the last couple years and it's a really nice bike.Though I am switching back over to an HT this year,I miss the fun I had on my last one.

Here is one pic. I may get some pics of it in action tom. The other bike is my old FSR thats been in my parents garage for almost the past 8 years. I know a sin.

O and I know the handle bars and for are backwards, my sis took the pic and emailed it to me and she knows nothing about bikes.

    ^^ Nice 09' AZ.

Here is my 2008 Canaan Comp. I bought it in 5/19/10 at Performance Bike for $799. They also had the 2009 Canaan Comp in stock but I opted for the 2008 because it was $200 dollars cheaper, to me it looked better in small, it came with better components: Tora Race fork, XT rear derailleur, Stroker trail. I took it out to my local trail and am very happy with it. Her are some pictures.
