I am 6' 375lb and was looking at a Breeser Thunder Comp, do you think that is a good buy? I am new to mountain biking and I am concerned about buying a quality MTB that will hold up as I lose this weight.
There was a story on fatcyclist.com (kind of an ironically named site, actually, it's a blog by a guy who's been super-fit for years) from someone who started somewhere around your weight.
The two biggest problems are supposed to be that you may have trouble with wheels, and if the bike has a coil fork, you won't be able to get the right spring.
No I haven't test ridden any, I need to do more research...sometimes I feel like these salesmen are blowing smoke up my tail. I'd like to read about others experiences and learn from first accounts.
My friend is about your size and has been riding a windsor off bikes direct for 3 seasons now and nothing has fallen off or broken and he rides it pretty hard, we do a lot of technical rooty trails with a lot of obstacles.
