GT Aggressor 1.0 vs. Giant Talon 29er 0

Looking to get my first bike and the GT is 330 and the Giant is 750. My question is, is the GT really that bad of a bike that I should spend more money on the Giant right of the bat? What is better for the money? Just looking to do casual riding and get outside, not any crazy downhill but at some point I will want to get into more technical riding.

Oh, both bieks are 2012 models, the one thing holding me back on the GT is it only has 80mm of suspension.

It's also 26. BikeDirect Gravity Point1 at 450 is a better comparative option.
The fork on the Talon is a Rockshox XC28 the minimum for trail riding. The fork on the GP1 needs a Suntour upgrade to a Raidon for 175. Then you would have a better bike.
If you want to upgrade your Suntour fork

    No contest, Talon.
