1. The most important thing about buying a new bike is to make sure it fits. The only way you'll know if the bike is right for you is to size up the bike and make sure that the bike's geometry matches your body's geometry. Ask questions and do some research.

2. If possible, try to find a shop that will let you demo the bike on real dirt. Five minutes in a parking lot won't cut it. You wouldn't buy a car without a real world test drive, and a bike should be no different.
3. Don't belive the hype. Just because your favorite rider or best friend rides a certain bike, that doesn't mean that's the best one for you. Have an open mind and be realistic about your needs and ability.

    Is it Gary Fisher?

    Hi everybody! I'm from Croatia and my english is not very good so please forgive me! Im new here so i need some help. I bought a bike from one guy and on the bike it says that the bike is Gary Fisher Wahoo. But I'm not sure. Can you please help me and tell me which bike is it. Is it Gary Fisher Wahoo or something else. Thanks anyway!

    Fisher

    I have a Fisher also. Good bike. Gary Fisher is considered one of the fathers of mountain biking. Wahoo is an Indian word (I think). Don't really know what it means. Good luck and good riding.

    fisherbikes.com has there full lineup there is a bike called the wahoo rode one the other week and LOVED it, but it didnt really look like that one, I really dont remember the spokes being like that.
