    First Trail Ride

I am new to all of this as I haven't really ridden since I was 16 (20 years ago).

I just picked up a Felt Q520 and have been riding it around a bit to get comfortable and to get my legs moving again

I went on my first trail ride this morning and it was absolutely beautiful! About 10 miles of very nice trails around the lake.

Here are a few pictures I took this morning.

Awesome! I hope you really enjoy the sport. I love it and I'm a better person because of it.

I am loving it! We just moved to the PNW from Arizona and it is perfect for this type of outdoor sport!

Nice pics and I like the looks of that Felt too!

PNW = Pacific Northwest I assume? Looks beautiful.

When you're ready for a little more, check out Capitol Forest near Olympia and Mt. St. Helens.

So I went on another ride this morning out at the same area I went to last time. I went in the other direction this time. About an 8 mile ride. I am really enjoying this and it gets more enjoyable every time I get on the bike.

A couple of pics from this morning, including my new roof rack

Nice pics. This comment is a bit random, but you might want to flip your pump the other way so the handle is facing up. Some pumps can extend while riding and cause problems. You might not have a problem, but then again you might. Have fun out there.

Yes. The first set of pics is Round Lake and the second couple were taken at a different time at Lacamas.

It is nice and smooth although, there are logs put across the trail on all of the downhills....speed bumps?

Water bars... They divert water and keep the trail from washing out and getting all rutted up...
