    First AM Knee/Shin pads

    Hey guys,

Ive been really getting into AM riding recently and am looking for some decent knee/shin pads. There arent any retailers with stock in my area so instead ive been checking the reviews section of this site except that some of the reviews are quite old.

Just wondering if anyone is using / has used LizardSkins Mountain Knee/Shin guards and did they chafe when doing alot of pedalling?

    Thanks for you help!

I've used various Fox, 661, Rockgardn and no-names (or cannot remember the brand). All seem to chafe a little. So I don't use them for the long, non-technical XC rides. I also take them off when I know of a long pedally stretch coming up. The hydration pack is a good place to keep them in those situations.

I got a Raceface Rally FR like this

I dont like too many pads at the back since its quite hot and restrictive like the ones
    that you wanted.

Thank you guys for the updates--. Im also eyeballing the POC ones just to make the buy and stick with it, rather than buying a few diff ones.

I just bought the lizard skins, but haven't gotten them yet. Good luck with your purchase. Mine are via Price Point.

    I wear the following:
Six Six One 2X4 (almost every ride)
Six Six One 4X4 (only on the most extreme trails)

Good protection and still good mobility.
Like all armor, tends to get hot.
