    EC44 headset to Replace ZS44

I seem to be bad at searching, since I am sure this has been answered before but I have a question about headset standards. I am looking to install an angled headset. I currently have a FSA Orbit 1.5 which is a ZS44 to ZS 56 with a 40mm crown race. This is for a 1.5 to 1 and 1/8th steerer fork. I am leaning towards the Works Components 1.5 degree head set which comes in EC44/ZS56. Can I install an EC44 in place of a ZS44? Do you need a certain amount of clearance? My head tube has 3/16th of an inch unobstructed between the lip of the head tube and the top of the top tube weld bead.

    Thanks for any pointers

Got a works components 1.5 slacker headset installed. No problem substituting the EC44 for a ZS44. Should be interchangeable on any head tube. It will change attack height a bit though.
    It's just a flesh wound!
