1. The most important thing about buying a new bike is to make sure it fits. The only way you'll know if the bike is right for you is to size up the bike and make sure that the bike's geometry matches your body's geometry. Ask questions and do some research.

2. If possible, try to find a shop that will let you demo the bike on real dirt. Five minutes in a parking lot won't cut it. You wouldn't buy a car without a real world test drive, and a bike should be no different.
3. Don't belive the hype. Just because your favorite rider or best friend rides a certain bike, that doesn't mean that's the best one for you. Have an open mind and be realistic about your needs and ability.

If you are asking "is my steerer tube too short?" then I'd say, yes, it does appear to be a bit shorter than it should be. The fact that the upper bolt of the stem is above the top of the steerer is way less than ideal. At the bare minimum you should get a stem with a lower stack height. Only other option is to get a new fork with the correct length steerer tube.
I don't crash, I just have slightly uncontrolled dismounts!

True. The top edge of the stem should only be 2-3 mm above the top of the fork steerer tube.
Use it, use it, use it while you still have it.

google translate Hello friends, I have sought an answer to my question but I have found, is: will you buy a hardtail bike, but the power does not fully embrace the fork tube as shown in the picture, the question is are there any risks when driving it?

I appreciate your answers in advance
Yes there is a risk in riding the bike with the steer tube that far down. If there are a few ring shims under the riser take them out. If not you are going to need a new fork.

    This.

    Googlated...

"Usted es madre parece alto" translated back into English on the Google says "Your mother seems high".

I don't know how 'stem' turned into 'madre', no offense Ponch.

Perhaps Google is assuming that she actually assembled the bike for him.

I am picturing this thread in my head and all that comes to mind is the Jimmy Kimel Live interview with Will Farrel, about the movie, Casa de mi Padre.

    Cheers!
