1st Trail ride in 15 years...

This past weekend my buddy and I jumped on some local trails to test our new bikes and all I can say is Wow! The first thing I realized was how out of shape I'm in and how my skills over the years have diminished (riding & shifting) . The one positive was I didn't take any spills on the ride. Can't wait to go out again.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm 43 and hitting the trails again after a long break.

Same boat, have not ridden a bike, let alone on a trial in over 15 years. Use to ride bmx with my brother and have been planning on buying mtbs since '08 but things happen. Fast foward to present, was able to purchase our bikes and rode this Saturday. THIS THING IS ADDICTING! Sorry to hijack your thread.

I'm back on my bike after a 16 yr hiatus as of last year. It takes a lot to get your body back in to it, but the rewards are fantastic.

I'm only 25 but feel like I'm starting to get out of shape but I despise running, cycling is something I have become extremely interested in and I thinks its an awesome form of exercise.

I'm 39 and haven't ridden a MTB since 01 until this last June when I bought my new bike. Like you I found I was sadly out of shape. I was also glad cuz I didn't take a spill my first 4 rides back, but then I did and I was incapacitated for a week lol.... When I was younger I would have bounced back like rubber, hahaha...

Glad to see so many other ladies and gents getting back into the sport, congrats to all..

Way to jump back in the saddle! Now go mash those pedals!
People wait for me on the way up. I wait for them on the way down.

My lower back was the only soreness (besides my ego) that I felt. I'll pop some pills before I head out again today.
