Came across Avery Brewing Co's IPA out of Boulder CO. Rolled the dice on this 6 pak as I've never had it before and was a new addition at the store. It's very good IMO with hops>malts with a crisp, lightish body and 6.5% ABV. Floral with some citrus and a clean finish.... suits me proper. Done good on this gamble which is nice as it goes the other way too often.

My buddy brought home the newest of the Rogue Voodoo series; Pretzel Rasberry Chocolate Ale. I am not really a fan personally but this one was actually drinkable. The last two have been terrible.

I keep seeing this Doughnut Chocolate one... if I remember correctly. No good, eh? It's like $13 for a 22oz at my local store.

It's Christmas in Oz. Merry Xmas to you all. Been out for a short ride. Done a bit of minor trail work. Had breaky and pressies with the family. Watched a movie and before we head off to Brisvegas for a Christmas nosh with the wife's family, there has been time for a relax with these friends.

The Erdinger is a bit sweet, but pleasant. More ETOH and less residual sugar would be more to my taste.
The Whychwood is really quite nice. Also sweet, but tastes like it should be that way.

May your beers be just right and overflow your glass for Christmas and through the New Year

What are you drinking right now?

Went up to Indiana this past September to ride the Brown County Breakdown and tried all week to find some Zombie Dust.
Everywhere we looked it had been sold out. As luck would have it a friend found some and shipped down this way. Sorry for the poor quality but it was Zombie Dust after all

Drinking Sam Adams Cold Snap right now. Pretty good, easy drinking white ale. Citrusy, spicing is subtle, nice nutty after taste.

This is one of the saddest things I've read all week. For myself, I've got a Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (2013) in a glass beside my keyboard, which is surprising because the only previous experience I've had with this beer is the 2012, which was brought to me here on the left coast directly from Chicago. The 2013 is the first Bourbon County anything I've seen for sale around here, AND I've got a pair of Bourbon County Brand Barleywines (2013) in the fridge. Good GAWD, I'm glad to be me. Yes, I'm smug, deal with it.

Bügel-Goaß... A really odd cherry flavored Bock with caffeine. It actually tastes pretty good but the label is my favorite part.
