What are you drinking right now?

It's very mild Tue evening here in Germany, so I thought I'd open the windows at our haus, listen to the church organ player practice, and enjoy a Crew IPA brewed in Munich. The cathedral out front is from the 1100's.

    Prost!

Why would you store beer in a cellar? It doesn't usually get better with age.

Oh man! Didn't you have a father figure to teach you these things.

#1 The cellar is a cool dry place to store beer and/or alcohol and it's almost always a constant temputure.

#2 You can lock the cellar door so your buddies aren't stealing your beer and/or alcohol.

#3 Hot, but non-willing chicks can be locked in the cellar with the beer and/or alcohol. Wait an hour, till drunk and they will be willing.

#4 While banging hot, willing chicks in the cellar (that could be a hot willing chick from the start or It could be a non-willing hot chick that has been locked in the cellar for at least an hour) the last thing you want to have to do is run upstairs to grab a beer and/or alcoholic beverage.

Island20v, you really should have known better!

True, beer does not bottle age but some beers, like imperial stouts, are stable for long periods and survive better when stored in cellar like conditions.

The house i'm living in was built in 1462 and came with very limited storage space but a huge cellar. So the beer goes in there.

A little drunk? If you add what's in the glass to the bottle, you've had like a half a sip.

Reminds me of Guinness, but much smoother…not a Stout drinker, but will venture out every once in awhile…the German Dunkel's all beat these easily on my taste buds...

Southern Tier Live was last night's beer of choice. Had one too many though as I am definitely hanging today.

Celebrating another fun race at Stratham, NH with a Magic Hat Elderbetty. Big races coming up in a month so next time I'm having a beer, it'll be a tasty pumpkin variety.

Ha! I was very close to grabbing one of those yesterday. Glad I didn't. Thanks for the heads up.

Just had a Fixed Gear red ale that a buddy gave me. It was decent.
Had an Alaskan Freeride American Pale Ale a while back that was very good. Only bought because it had a mtb on the label.

7% partial grain home brew that I've affectionately named "Bastard Ass Oatmeal Stout" and bottled in 12, 16, 24, and 40 oz bottles. I'd post a picture, but the last bit of the cold stout is sadly gone whilst I await the magic of a Frigidaire on more bottles.

Visited Stone Brewery this weekend and tried out their Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA and the always amazing Enjoy By 09.13.13 IPA. Porbably my favorite IPA of all time.

They have amazing food! I think the San Marcos location has slightly better food and accomidations but the new Point Loma location is pretty awesome at Liberty Station but the food is limited compared to the flagship location.

Oh, piss off man! We can't get that stuff in California!

I guess I'll have to find someone to send me some. Can you buy them by the pint?
