    Last night was great:

Started dinner with a DFH Punkin Ale, main course was a Delerium Tremans to wash down a 1/2lb Redcoat burger and onion rings and then I finished the night off with a DFH 90 Minute IPA.

Right now? right NOW?!?!??! OK, 650ml bottle of Port Brewing’s Old Viscosity Ale (nice strong 10% ABV). Beautiful beer. One of my all-time favourites. Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring—this beer doesn’t discriminate. 100% awesomeness factor regardless of the season.

I'm visiting family in Southern Cal. for the holidays very near to the Green Flash brewery so I bought some of this stuff at an Albertson's supermarket. It's really, really good. Nice red color with a really great hops flavor. The bottle says "Resinous hops characteristics" and I find that many beers I like a lot are described as having a "resinous hops flavor".

    Hop Head Red Ale

Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich carmel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry-hopped the brew to 45 ibu's, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it red IPA? That's your call.

    ABV: 6% | IBU’s: 45
