    Expecting negative rep...but...

    Wine. Some old vine grenache.

Why? Because Chum ran the Pliny out of this county, or at least, that is the story I am sticking to.

Even worse, I road my road bike today (with the wife)...

This message should have started out..."Forgive me Hopfather, for I have sinned..."

Right now I am enjoying a 750ml bottle of the Trader Joeís 2011 Vintage Ale (Belgian-style ale brewed by Unibroue in Canadia) with a nice 9% ABV to get into the holiday spirit state of mind.

Went down to City Beer Store after work for the Pac Brew Lab launch party. Had their Squid Ink black IPA, as well as a Bear Republic Mach 10, a Bruery 4 Calling Birds, and a Mikkeller Ris A La M'ale, which I thought was better than the BA and RB reviews say.

    T'was a good night.

Then you are a GOD. Among the best IPAs ever, Modus Hoperandi. The citrus/grapefruit notes in that are insane.

Just finished a nice climb on my Yelli Screamy, and cracked open a Hop Ottin' India Pale Ale by Anderson Valley Brewing Company in Boonville, Mendocino County, CA. They grow some good hops up there, I guess.

    Lovin it!

Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale. Wife asked if she would like it. So, I cracked one open, said "it smells hoppy", she grabbed the bottle and walked off. I had to get myself another. Didn't realize it was a Double IPA...

Today's ride was a bit brown and some small sections of death Mud. Celebrating life with a Moose Drool Brown Ale, outta Big Sky Brewing, Missoula, MT. Nice, but nowhere near the hoppiness I love in an IPA.

Wells Banana Bread Beer. But I have Stones Ruination, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA, and Youngs Double Chocolate Stout on the menu today for Football. Thanks to the local "build your own" six pack shop.

My friends and I drink Coors Light when out riding. It's like drinking water, but you get that liquid courage benefit. It's also a good reason to stop and take a break.
