I recently tried DjuDju Beer - an African beer that, strangely enough, I can only find in Berlin! But as far as I can remember it comes in all kinds of flavours...Mango, Passion Fruit...I would recommend it!

    Fat Tire!

How appropriate! I'm sitting at the bar reading MTBR and drinking a Fat Tire!

    Cheers!

Drinking a New Glarus Dancing Man Wheat. GREAT Hefeweizen this is.

I just stopped to get milk at the local Kwik Pantry here and saw that they had 4 6 packs left of the Dancing Man and I scooped all of them up.

Sad that this is only a seasonal!

Great Divide Hibernation Ale. Piney, Malty, and very complex. Solid beer for this time of the year http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/158/1446

It sure is. However I managed to live with it. I had another tonight and now am enjoying three olives vodka and sprite.

Right now, a 64 ounce growler of some homebrew stout that a friend made. Tasty stuff, but not the tastiest stout I’ve ever had.

Right now? 750ml bottle of Chimay Grand Reserve, aka “blue label”. Haven’t had it in several years, but it was an impulse buy from today’s Trader Joe’s run.

    ^carlos, how is it?

Just bought a gift pack of Ommegang beers. Pale ale, triple and three philosophers with a cool glass enclosed, all for $24. Finished the pale ale - not bad, definite belgian character, 6.2% so not too strong. They say it's dry hopped w/ cascades, but I didn't find the nose quite there. Looking forward to the other two bottles.

    Mug 2 of this:

My homebrewed Crazy Ivan Russian Imperial Stout. This batch is I think the best beer I've made in 15 yrs of homebrewing. Added cacao nibs and oak cubes to the secondary. It's nutty, coffee-like, chocolaty, and very delicious.

In my 2nd place mug from last year's 25hr race, it tastes even better!

I just tried Laughing Dog's Rocket Dog Rye IPA and it is terrible. Overly sweet, unbalanced, unpleasant smell, bad aftertaste, it is the worst beer I have had in a long time.

Fortunately, I have an Otis Stout to wash the taste out.
