    Always refreshing...
I've been to a few in Ft. Collins. Odells, New Belgium, H.C. Berger for the Rauchbier. Chama in ABQ, Eskes in Taos, 2nd St. in Santa Fe, Pike in Seattle.

In Europe it's a good way to get some decent food. Stuttgarter Hoffbrau, Leimen Brauerei (try the schmalz!), Vetters, Kemptenbrauerei, Forst, etc.

    I've always liked Huberbrau.

Can't imagine driving in the US with a plate like this.

    Words to live by.

The only ones I've been to are/were local: Dunedin Brewery and the old Budweiser Brewery that was attached to Busch Gardens back in the day (Bud sucks, but this was back when there was a hospitality house...free beer is good beer).

Planning on hitting up Brooklyn Brewery (NY), Yuengling (PA), and Terapin (GA) at some point on our road trip up to NJ in October. For the past 20 or so years I've lived minutes away from the Yuengling brewery here in Tampa...I have yet to go. Not even sure if it is still open.

    Finally!!!
    Ok...rainy...dreary....day after XMASS....finally got to Yuengling's.

Very nice tour of a very old facility that is still producing today! Our tour guide was a very enthusiastic Yuengling Associate who works five days a week at the brewery and works Saturdays giving tours. Great history of beer as well as beer industry and its role in the birth of a growing democracy! Yuenglings Caves were open also and part of the tour...they played a prominent role for Yuenglings both in pre refrigeration days and during prohibition when they were allowed to make Porter for medicinal reasons.

So here is my updated list:

    Budweiser -St. Louis Missouri
    Stroh's in Allentown- PA
    Appalachian Brewing Company- PA

Be sure you make that happen! I went over Labor Day weekend, it's a great time. The tour was a little bland but for $8 you get a 420 pint glass for keeps and 6 pours at their extremely nice, and large brew bar. Make sure to try the dank-tank brew and tip the chicks!

Dingling is now contract brewed and if I recall correctly only the bottled beer comes from Pottsville and the canned Yuengling comes from various contract brewers around the country

Brew Moon was the first microbrewery I ever went to — when I was 16! They had micropub Root Beer that I drank the numerous times I went there that summer (my father was TDY @ Trippler and I flew out to spend the summer in the state where I was born while he was there). When my wife & I went back to Hawaii for our honeymoon we ate dinner there one night and I finally got to try the beers.

Since then I've been to at least 20 breweries in almost as many states and have mugs from all but two of them. My favorite would be Moon River here in Savannah - but that might just be my bias to how fresh the beer is when I go there for a drink.

Flat Earth Brewery St. Paul, MN
    Leinenkugels Chippewa Falls, WI
Summit Brewery St. Paul, MN (July 22nd)

    Trying for:
Surly Brewing Brooklyn Center, MN (this is a hard tour to get in on it's only on Fridays and you have to book a month in advance)

Flat Earth is a very small brewery it's literally one room and they hand bottle everything. However they're very generous on beer. There are no tokens it's just keep going until you get your fill. On Growler fill up days they have more beers to try and the growlers are about $10 to refill. They have a very nice Belgian Pale Ale and Stout.

Leini's was kind of dissappointing you get 3 drink tokens and basically a shot glass of beer. We have a friend along who doesn't drink so we took his tokens (we went for a ride a Hickory Ridge). The tour wasn't that involved either and they gave silly lottery scratch key chains for correct answers (you'd think they'd give bottle openers). I had a lot of questions for the tour guide and got a lot of "I don't knows."

This was all I could find of the pics. Will see if friends still have them.
