    Magic Hat #9-BEST EVER!

I read a post dogging this beer here (or about the brewery going after a design of a smaller company who copied their bottle)--

But HANDS DOWN, I have NEVER< EVER in 25 years of drinking beer--EVER heard someone say (in the last 10 years of me drinking Magic Hat#9)----They did not like this beer.

I did not even taste the 'apricot'?? taste like a great lager to me (with a little hoppiness)----Its Full Bodied, Smooth.....

AND for TASTE, Aroma, Consistency (and the Marketing for the bottle is Brilliant!!)---the company does not even say what is in it (which adds to the appeal..)

I am from philly and this beer goes Great with Anything your eating (Cheese Steaks to Chinese..)

And TRUST me in 25 years I have drinking Everything from Yards brewing, Brooklyn Ales, Boddingtons, Newcastle, Pale Ale, Colt 45 and OLDE English (8-ball malt liquor), to Heineken....

Nothing else hits the spot like this beer!!!!!

It seems like everyone on the posts I read here (with all the Haters just had an agenda for their local craft beer)----I spent 15 years drinking from a place in Philly that let you buy 100 different Craft beers (and mix and match stuff from around the Country, and the world)---AND NOTHING hit the spot like Magic Hat#9....

And I have had all the Shock Tops/Fruity beers and ales and this taste just like a dark pale ale to me (with the perfect combination of Hops and Flavor).... Slight hop bite at the end (finishes well)--

I am drinking one right now (this is THE Best beer for just about any kind of food, or if you just want a beer that is refreshing, or if you want to get tore up and enjoy the best beer out there----see pic)

This review is from EOpinions (not folks with an agenda)--out of 25 reviews what other beer on the planet would get this rating??

Being from New England, and growing up with that stuff, my opinion is opposite from yours. I will not drink anything from Magic Hat anymore. However, the ladies seem to love it.

Disagree with your very strong opinion. When in VT, I'll always pick a Long Trail, and nearly anything other than #9.
Since Magic Hat pursued litigation, and stomped on their own dixx, I will not buy their beer again - ever.
So.... call it a reaction, or a boycott, one that assures your beloved #9 will always be there for you - just aging on the shelves.

Since I know nothing of beer, I'll just post this for any other apricot-addicted trolls.

Yep. Best first beer forum thread start. 247 is not a troll. However, Magic Hat #9 isn't very good unless you enjoy your beer without much flavor.

I'll take one over a Busch, Bud, or most fruit flavored beers, but this is nothing all that great. Tastes like apricot to me.

Y'all are Crazy.. I been drinking Yuengling, Bohemian, etc.. since the 1980's--AND was No Where being legal to drink...

But y'all are Crazy, this beer is great, and everyone I know from L.A. to Philly loves this stuff!!!!

Maybe my palate is just not Educated enogh (or I am just not a beer snob)-----

AND NO I sure don't work for them (but wish I did, I would drink for free all day)----I can't even tell you on a map where Vermont is?? Northeast maybe (near Boston or Connecticut)--I really do not know?? (that is funny, but true)-----

But hands down, the Manliest of men I know love this stuff!!!

Now I hate Blue Moon (and that stuff)---but I can't even taste the apricot (just taste like flavored hops to me--) so maybe i'm just not NORM from that TV show Cheers (I just don't know)----

And I HATE Budweiser (but do like that new Platinum they sell)--taste like a cheaper Stella Artois to me..... But I have been drinking regularly since College (every year)---so I DO KNOW that taste good and hits the spot!!! ALSO I do not know any girls who drink it?? they all drink Corona or Platinum (and I used to Only drink Corona and Tecate' for a few years---) and that 'Sapparo' Japanese stuff... but then I stopped drinking cans!!!

Now I will try Dales Pale ale (I saw a tv show with that on..) and have seen it in the magazines... I am just Not liking the can thing (even with my Boddingtons)----

That's wild.. me being from Philly and growing up oon Yuenglling, I feel the same way about that stuff (though beer snobs love it)---

they also have the 'light' version now for the ladies!!

    This. This is awesome.

Magic hat sucks, and it's not just their overly-artificial fruit beer. They, and other breweries who aggressively pursue legal action due to name disputes (without trying to settle the issue outside the courtroom) are a bunch of d!ckbags. You know who else is a d!ckbag? Vampire Brands and TI Beverage Group:

Getting Served: The Death of Vampire Slayer and The Birth of Undead Party Crasher « Clown Shoes Beer

Oh yeah, also Brewery Vivant (vs. Tired Hands):

Brewery Vivant forces hand of Pennsylvania brewpub in trademark dispute | MLive.com

I understand why the disputes arise, and why breweries need to protect their trademarks. But to handle it with aggressive legal action is a joke.

magic hat is a love/hate brewery for me. My wife and I both enjoy #9 and a few others. Many of their brews were just weird, seriously beet juice in a beer. Dislike the litigation against another micro-brewery. IMO there are many beers out there that are better than #9, however I will still buy/drink it at times. It may be just to bring back memories of growing up in New England. Many of my favorites, like Wachusett are not available in Georgia.

edit: the link I did not add. and I cannot figure ut how it was placed in my post.

I went to college in Boston and one of my roommates used to buy #9 all the time. One day I was drinking some with him and I thought I liked it, then I realized it was his beer and free to me so that's the only reason I liked it.

I gave a chuckle when I first saw it next to the "good" beers in my local grocery store here in CA.

247 adding something else. This is from another thread I responded to but thought it was necessary for these haters (like KLurejr) to see...

--I am a 'social drinker' (like most folks I know) and for me having (and liking beer) has A LOT to do with when and where you have had one..

So I am posting this from another thread earlier because it explains my Best restaurant experience (and trying alligator and frogs for the only time) but this place has Magic Hat on tap (and there is no better beer to go with this experience..)--and frogs and shark do taste like chicken!!

ALSO to Klurejr (and all the haters) get out more (experience life)--because what I am posting I have experienced (and am spreading the word of Truth.. now that is funny even to me, but true...) no one is Trolling (and wasting time like your sorry ass self negative repping people)---I am glad MTBR let people see who rips their rep (but why give reputation anyway???)---that makes folks like me (Extremely Type-A) start up on Internet phonies... And Klurejr (I am not trying to get this thread closed, so refuse to respond to your childish, and anti-social attacks on me)-----you remind me of someone living at home (and living on the Internet)---man, get out and experience life (and STOP HATING on those of us who do!!!!!)----
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only eating elk, venison, and little bit of bison.
if you eat red meat (game meats are the key..) Now out and about I will have my 5-guys though at times...

But there is a place here in Central Pa. I had been going to for about a decade now (they have great wild game burgers...)

    Fuddruckers®, World's Greatest Hamburgers®

But when I was living in Philly I always wanted to go here (in fact I will drive here thus Spring just to try this place out..) supposed to be the Best 'Wild Game' restaurant (it's what I been hearing for years..)

Fuddruckers only has 4 wild game burgers, this place has 3 times the selection on meats (and different variations...) I can't wait to try this spot (don't know anyone who has been to it though? just heard folks talking about it for the last 10 years when I inquired about wild game meats...)

    Untitled Document

Then there is this place between Lancaster (Amish Country) and York Pa. They are cousins of the Paul Prudhomme (Spice) guy.. and this is the best alligator/frogs/ducks I ever had (though never had it really until this place)---and no I don't work for anyone here..

Prudhomme's Lost Cajun Kitchen, a little bit of cajun in Pennsylvania, PA

(I put a posts people are hating on about the best beer, have it here in tap, Majic Hat!!)---and when you have had it in this setting (you would think it is the best beer also)---this place has entertainment and food--just like you are in New Orleans!?!?!? no kidding, this could be the best restaurant experience ever!!

Just from Philly (and the surrounding area) you have the best (freshest food anywhere I have been to.)--the Best sandwich in America (and mac and cheese) are at Reading Terminal in Philly... So living here (and being from Philly) you get spoiled with the food options....

even the iron chef (Japanese guy Morimoto) has his restaurant in Philly!!

Hey, all my boys from L.A. to Philly know Fuddruckers is the place to go for a good burger and a pint of Magic Hat #9. In fact, I had a burger and beer with Donald Trump's main money man just the other day, and he agreed with everything I posted on mtbr.

You don't exactly have a low post to tenure ratio on MTBR when compared to Klurejr. I dunno, maybe it is my type z personality but I think you are the one with the sniffles on here. It's all fun and games until you take what dudes on the internet say too seriously. A lot of the folks on here are actually very productive and have a lot of interesting stories from my experience. So don't be too quick to judge, if someone attacks a beer you like brush it off.

I think you just admitted you are a forum troll.....

Did you ever stop to think that perhaps your threads are getting shut down because of you, your lack of thought or research when posting, or your aggressive attitude towards people who are regulars in a specific forum and you are the new comer?

Lets put it this way, your first post in the Beer forum is a big rant about a Brewery that was lambasted by the Craft Brewing Community for a frivolous lawsuit. This was actually discussed in great detail on this very board. It seemed to me that you saw this thread, read it and noticed that most of the regulars on this board felt the entire thing was a shame and thus most people here would never support magic hat again.

Then perhaps you found out that Magic Hat has a low rating on most beer sites, and that those here on this site don't really like how it tastes.

Then you decide to make your first post here this really one sided magic hat is the best ever, and then get bent out of shape when your trolling efforts get you lambasted.

I stand by my negative rep I gave you(and not that it matters but when MTBR did not say who the rep was from I used to sign all my reps, negative or otherwise), you are disturbing the waters around here just for your own entertainment. We have seen your kind before and as a group the regulars in this forum do not appreciate it.

I challenge you to make a thoughtful, researched and insightful post and engage in some beneficial conversation in this forum.
